Boil water notice for Hilldale, Eagle Lake, Yokena-Jeff Davis

Customers of Hilldale Water District on Overlook and High Hill drives in Greenbriar Subdivision are being urged to boil drinking water until further notice.

A press release from the district said about 70 customers are affected by a loss of pressure due to a broken main line.

Drinking and cooking water should be boiled vigorously for 1 minute.

Meanwhile, the Mississippi Department of Health issued a notice that about 50 Eagle Lake residents, from Eagle Lake Shore Road to Tara Wildlife Road, should boil their drinking water.

Similar warnings remain in effect for 50 additional Eagle Lake Water District customers with homes located from Sea Island Drive to the Main Line Levee and for about 100 Yokena-Jeff Davis Water District customers. The effected Yokena-Jeff Davis customers are from 2790 Redbone Road to Jeff Davis Road; from 4865 Jeff Davis Road to 6837 Jeff Davis Road; and all of Mallett Road, Burnt House Road, Calvin Road, Campbell Swamp Road West End, John Russell Drive, Friar Road, Dement Drive and Muirhead Road.
