Dr. George at Work

Q: What was the worst case of employee violence you have witnessed? — Violently Curious

A: I used to work for a company that employed over 1,000 workers. One of the warehouse workers found out that his colleague was seeing his wife. He proceeded to smack him in the jaw, and bloodied his nose. The fight was fierce. To top it off, the betrayed husband got his opponent in a headlock and proceeded to bite his ear clean off. Both were fired, and the one who lost his ear never got it back. It could not be re-attached. I write about the dangers of Lust at Work in my book, but this guy leaned a lesson he will be reminded of every time he shaves. This is an excellent example of “the law of unintended consequences.”
