PORT GIBSON — Cathlene Virginia Greer died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Claiborne County Senior Care Center. She was 80.

Mrs. Greer was a lifelong resident of Claiborne County. She retired as secretary for Entergy after 15 years of service at Grand Gulf Nuclear Station.

She raised cattle after her retirement and was a member of Rocky Springs Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Percy Greer.

Survivors include two sons, Everett Greer of Port Gibson and Mike Greer of Lorman; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson with the Rev. Elizabeth Piazza officiating. Burial will follow at Greer Cemetery in Carlisle. Visitation will be from 5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home in Port Gibson.

Pallbearers will be William Greer, Russell Greer, Ricky Greer, Kent Greer, Mark Greer and Wayne Greer.
