LYON — Margie Bridges Leist died Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010, at Greenbough Nursing Home. She was 83.

A retired registered nurse, Mrs. Leist was a hunter, fisherman and gardener. She was a member of St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Clarksdale, where she was a member of Young at Heart and Trinity Sunday school class.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Steve Leist; a son, Steve Leist Jr.; and a granddaughter, Michelle Leist.

Survivors include one son, Ronny Leist of Biloxi; one daughter, Sandra Leist Smith of Lyon; and two brothers, J.W. Bridges of Washington and John Allen Hood of Jackson, La.

Services were at 9:30 a.m. today at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church. Burial was at Green Acres Memorial Park in Vicksburg under the direction of Meredith-Nowell Funeral Home of Clarksdale.
