Air Force Master Sgt. Dedric J. Clement has received a bachelor’s degree from Torro University in California and an associate degree from Community College of the Air Force, Maxwell Air Force Base, Ala.

Clement, a command financial policy and procedures manager with 19 years of military service, is assigned to the 375th Air Mobility Wing of Scott Air Force Base, Ill.

He is married to the former Crystal Brisco of Vicksburg.

Army Pvt. Frankie L. Swain Jr. has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Knox, Ky. During the nine-week training period, he received instruction in drill and ceremony, weapons, rifle marksmanship, chemical warfare, field training, combat, military courtesy, first aid and Army history.

A 2009 graduate of Warren Central High School, he is the son of Frankie L. Swain Sr. of Vicksburg and Wanda J. Harris of Hampton, Ga.

Master Sgt. Ronald A. Lawrence has retired from the U.S. Air Force after more than 20 years of service. He served as lead quality assurance inspector assigned to the 317th Maintenance Operations Squadron at Dyess Air Force Base in Abilene, Texas.

He enlisted in the Air Force in 1989, completed basic military training and completed the Bombing Navigation Systems Specialist Course at Lowery Air Force Base, Colo. He served with various units at military installations in Louisiana, Texas and Mississippi and overseas deployments to Spain and Qatar.

Master Sgt. Lawrence completed Airman Leadership School was chosen the first Bombing Navigation Systems Training Detachment instructor.

After being assigned to Barksdale Air Force Base, La., he attended Air Force Recruiting School at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and was recognized as the squadron flight’s top recruiter in Tupelo. He was reassigned to the 317th Aircraft Maintenance Squadron, serving as lead technician of the Communications, Navigation and Mission Systems.

His decorations and awards include Air Force Commendation Medals, the Air Force Achievement Medal, Air Force Good Conduct Medals, the National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon with gold border and one oak leaf cluster, the Air Force Recruiter Ribbon, the Meritorious Unit Award and the Air Force Outstanding Unit Award with valor device and seven oak leaf clusters.

A Vicksburg native, he is the son of Linda G. Wilcher. He graduated in 1988 from Warren Central High School and received associate in applied science degrees from the Community College of the Air Force.
