Velma Boswell

ROSE HILL — A funeral Mass will be said for Mrs. Velma Boswell on Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2010, at St. Patrick Church at noon with the Rev. Frank Cosgrove officiating. Visitation will be Monday at James F. Webb Funeral Home from 5 until 7 p.m. Mrs. Boswell’s body will lie in repose at the church on Tuesday from 11 a.m. until the service. James F. Webb Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Boswell, age 99, went to heaven on Jan. 22, 2010. She was a longtime resident of Meridian. Her vocation in life was being a caregiver and she did that well. She returned to her family home in Rose Hill to take care of her handicapped brother, and there she resided for many years until her death.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Lamar Boswell.

She is survived by her son, Joseph Boswell; her daughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Bernard Theobald; her daughter, Martha Ann Burdick and daughter and son-in-law, Rose Mary and Jim Anderson; her sister, Sister Mary Teresa Finnegan and her sister Martha Rose Burns; sister-in-law, Nell Sharpton; brother-in-law Don and his wife, Pauline. She was blessed with five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

She was loved by many and will be missed by all.

Pallbearers will be Charles Theobald, Scott, Bryan and Zachary Martin, Randy and Randall Bustard, Charles Finnegan, Marvin Martin, Ray and Ashley Lewis, Ronnie Finnegan, Freddy Bergen and Dan Gorgas.
