Ruth Gaunt Henry

Mrs. Ruth Gaunt Henry died Monday, Jan. 25, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 82.
Born in Redwood, Mrs. Henry was the daughter of the late H.D. and Clara Coddington Gaunt. She graduated from Redwood High School and was a member of the Redwood Homemakers Club and Crawford Street United Methodist Church, where she was a member of the Senior Sunday school class and Rachel’s Circle of the United Methodist Women.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Philip Gaunt.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Henry of Vicksburg; son, James Henry and wife Sherry of Vicksburg; daughters, Shirley Williams and husband Randall of Vicksburg and Florence Reames and husband Mike of Baton Rouge; and brother, Paul Gaunt of Vicksburg; grandchildren, Leigh Davis, Jimmy Henry, Michael Henry, Melanie Bates, Melissa Thomas, Rebekah Lovorn, Bradley Reames, Heather Reames and Ryan Reames; and five great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Frank J. Fisher Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Cary Stockett and the Rev. Jimmy Henry officiating. Burial will follow at Edwards Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight and from 9 a.m. Thursday until service time.
Pallbearers will be grandsons: Jimmy Henry, Michael Henry, Brian Davis, Joshua Thomas, Chris Bates, Andy Lovorn, Bradley Reames and Ryan Reames and nephews Lonnie Henry and Ray Henry.
Honorary pallbearers will be Hugh Green, Ed Jackson, Burton Boyd, David McClurg, Edward Douglas, Quint Mason and Charles Henry Shelton.
