Scott Burr has been promoted to director of hotel operations for Ameristar’s Vicksburg property.

Burr, who joined Ameristar in 2006, will be responsible for managing, planning and administering hotel and sales policies and programs. 

He began his career with the company as an operations management trainee, and most recently served as manager for hotel operations.

Burr has a bachelor’s degree in marketing/management from the University of Mississippi.
