MONTICELLO, La. — John Prentiss Chouccoli Sr. died at his home Friday, Jan. 29, 2010. He was 68.

Mr. Chouccoli was born in Leland, Miss., to Louvenia McNeese Chouccoli and Pete Chouccoli Sr. He was a butcher who opened Chouccoli Cash and Carry in Monticello, La., in 1982.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three sisters, Lorraine Long, Mellie Saulters and Christine Chouccoli; and a brother, Kenny Chouccoli.

Mr. Chouccoli is survived by his wife, Annice Snyder Chouccoli; his daughter, Renee Chouccoli of Huntsville, Texas; three sons, John Chouccolie of Shaw, Miss., Heath Chouccoli of Huntsville and Kenneth Chouccoli of Vicksburg; a stepdaughter, Mitzi Farmer of Greenville, Miss.; a stepson, Jay Sykes of Indianola, Miss.; a sister, Sarah Dennis; two brothers, Pete Chouccoli and Larry Chouccoli; 15 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Boone Funeral Home in Leland with burial following at Stoneville Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon until 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Travis Chouccoli, Marlon Choucolli, Andrew Chouccoli, Aaron Chouccoli, Trent Chouccoli and Chase Choucolli.

Honorary pallbearers will be Paul Banchetti, Andy Petro and JimmyDoolittle.
