Maggio, Britt are wed in Clinton

Justin Curtis Maggio and Amanda Jean Britt were married at 6 p.m. Nov. 28, 2009, at First United Methodist Church in Clinton. The Rev. Leon May officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ronald Britt of Magee. She is the granddaughter of Earline Britt and the late Charles E. Britt and Nell White and the late John Clyde White, all of Magee.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Miller Maggio of Vicksburg. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William W. Curtis and the late Mr. and Mrs. Frank A. Maggio, all of Vicksburg.

Nuptial music was presented by Genny Miller, organist; Jeremy Donald, trumpeter; and Cynthia Bynum and Joanna Gaston, soloists.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride’s chosen colors were indigo and ivory.

Maid of honor was Hillary Britt, sister of the bride, of Magee. Bridesmaids were Sandy Martin, Anzie LaRosa and Whitney Keyes, all of Hattiesburg; Shasta Welch of Mendenhall; Brooke Coulson of Magee; Nan Knight of Windemere, Fla.; and Joanna Gaston of Hollywood, Calif.

Scott Zingery of Charlotte, N.C., served as best man. Groomsmen were Charley Wallace, Taylor Sanford, Justin Cockrell and Corey Britt, all of Hattiesburg; Victor Parker of Vicksburg; Matthew Jackson of Flowood; and Justin Britt, brother of the bride, of Magee.

Ushers were Andy Grim and Curtis Wand, both of Hattiesburg.

Flower girl was Kylin Kate Chisholm of Magee. Ring bearer was Max Avery Welch of Mendenhall.

Scripture reader was Michael Ring of Huntsville, Ala.

Serving as program attendants were Cameron Curtis, cousin of the groom, of Vicksburg and Chloe White, cousin of the bride, of Magee.

Special wedding assistant was Marilyn Russell of Clinton.

A reception followed at the Mississippi Craftsman’s Center in Ridgeland. Guests were entertained with music by Andrew Pates and Friends.

For a wedding trip, the couple traveled to New Orleans and St. Lucia. They will make their home in Jackson.

The bride is an auditor with the Mississippi Office of the State Auditor, and the groom is a sales representative for Sysco Food Sales of Jackson.

Bridesmaids’ luncheon

On the day of the wedding, Gail Hederman, Margie Keyes, Sharon Payne, Lori Stuard and Shelia Welch hosted a bridesmaids’ luncheon at Char Restaurant in Jackson.

Rehearsal dinner

The groom’s parents hosted a buffet dinner at the Brookwood Byram Country Club for family, friends and members of the wedding party.

Engagement celebration

Cynthia and Pete Montalbano, Linda and David Biedenharn, Susan and Vince Chiarito, Janice and Joe Coccaro, Betty and Brian DeRossette , Lori and Coy D. Donna Hankins, Cynthia Bynum, Dovie Hall, Debbie Marsh, Joyce May, Debbie Sue Ricketson, Emma Lou Walker and Kathy White hosted a miscellaneous shower at the Hankins home in Magee.

The bride was honored with a Christmas shower at Whistle Stop Gift Shop in Magee.
