Charles Ray Lynn

Charles Ray Lynn died Sunday, Feb. 7, 2010, at University of Mississippi Medical Center. He was 53.

Mr. Lynn was a lifelong resident of Vicksburg. A hunter and fisherman, he worked as a welder for LeTourneau and as a deckhand on towboats.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Fred and Mary Lynn; and his maternal grandparents, James and Madie Pettway.

He is survived by his mother, Doris H. Tart of Vicksburg; his father, Raymond G. Lynn of Ore City, Texas; three sisters, Jo Ann Hamric and Susan Johnson, both of Vicksburg, and Deborah K. Lynn of Clinton; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Jimmy Pettway officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Chris Lynn, Allen Hampton, Stacy Lynn, Doyle Turner, Jim Pettway and Sean Keen.
