City man stabbed; another is jailed

A man was taken to the hospital early Sunday morning after being stabbed multiple times, and another man has been jailed.

Adam Carter, 33, no address available, was treated and released from River Region Medical Center, hospital spokesman Allen Karel said.

Vicksburg police arrested Donrico Lockett, 32, 1103 Polk St., at 1:44 a.m. in his home minutes after Carter was reported stabbed, Sgt. Sandra Williams said.

She said the knifing followed a fight between the two men at Lockett’s home.

Lockett was being held without bond at the Warren County Jail pending an initial hearing.

Florida man jailed as sex offender

A Florida man was in the Warren County Jail this morning, accused of failing to register as a sex offender.

Raymond E. Dill, 46, 748 McKenzie Ave., Panama City, was arrested on Tuesday by authorities in Bay County, Fla., and was extradited to Warren County and arrested by county officials at 9:10 p.m. Sunday, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.

Dill was charged with being a noncompliant sex offender. He  had been convicted of rape in Warren County in 1985, Pace said.

He was held without bond pending an initial hearing.

Stolen vehicle found; another missing

A person who left a stolen vehicle on Nailor Road might end up being a suspect in another vehicle theft a block away and the burglary of yet another one, Sheriff Martin Pace said.

At 2:25 this morning, a Warren County deputy noticed an unfamiliar vehicle, a 1996 Cadillac DeVille, parked in the 4700 block of Nailor Road. After checking on the license tag, he found the vehicle had been reported missing from the 300 block of Freeman Road, Pace said.

While checking with neighbors, Deputy Shane Parker discovered a 1999 Ford F-350 belonging to a resident of the neighborhood had been burglarized and a .9-mm Ruger handgun and a .22-caliber Smith & Wesson revolver, both loaded, had been taken.

A block away, in the 4600 block, a 2002 Toyota Tundra with a Wisconsin license plate was also reported missing. Pace said the vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys left in the console.

Two men held for drug court

Two men were in the Warren County Jail this morning after being arrested separately Sunday on drug court sanctions.

Lonnie Carson, 23, 104 Carver Drive, was arrested at 11:20 p.m., jail records showed.

David Allen Yearwood, 36, 600 Willis Road, Valley Park, was arrested at 9:20 p.m., jail records showed.
