Lisa Silver, formerly of Vicksburg, has been named the 58th annual Woman of the Year by Altrusa International in Jackson, Tenn., where she lives.

She was honored at a banquet at Lambuth University in Jackson. Silver, the daughter of Mike Silver of Jackson and Lesley Silver of Vicksburg, is marketing manager at Elmcroft, which operates assisted living facilities, and has worked in numerous community organizations.

Consideration was given to achievements, leadership and service to the community as well as humanitarian contributions.
