MOBILE, Ala. — Valerie JoAnn Duncan died Monday, Feb. 22, 2010, at Providence Hospital in Mobile, Ala. She was 39.

A Jackson native, she attended Raymond High School. She had lived in Mobile for the past 20 years and attended Salem Baptist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Lisa Michelle Duncan of Semmes, Ala.; her parents, Freddie and Faye Duncan of Richland; and other relatives and friends, including Cheryl Jones and Kevin Taylor, both of Raymond, and Rose Scarborough, Jewell Fitner and Patricia Young, all of Semmes.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Glenwood Funeral Home in Utica. Burial will follow at Salem Cemetery in Hinds County.

Visitation will be from  5 until 8 tonight at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be James Link, Allen Link, Roy Cessna, Bill Cessna, Jerry Jones and Kevin Taylor.
