Six sentenced in circuit court

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:

• Richard Birge, 42, 4425 Lee Road, was found guilty of probation violation and sentenced by Circuit Judge M. James Chaney to 30 days in jail. Birge was arrested for forgery in 2005.

• Willie James Smith, 50, 1515 Main St., pleaded guilty to shoplifting, third offense, and was sentenced by Chaney to one year in prison followed by five years of probation, plus restitution, fines and costs totaling $1,897.50. Smith was arrested Aug. 6, 2008.

• Armad Rashard Stewart, 24, 1400 Bowmar Ave., pleaded guilty to shooting into a motor vehicle and was sentenced by Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick to three years in prison followed by two years of probation, plus restitution, fines and costs totaling $2,010.50. Stewart was arrested March 4.

• Bryan Taylor, 39, 353 Grange Hall Road, pleaded guilty to possession of two or more precursors with intent to manufacture methamphetamine and was sentenced by Patrick to the 9th Circuit Court Drug Court Program for a term not to exceed five years, plus fines and costs totaling $3,122.50. Taylor was arrested Sept. 2.

• Kevin Dewayne White, 33, 701 Redbone Road, pleaded guilty to possession and sale of cocaine and was sentenced by Chaney to six years in prison followed by four years of probation, plus $322.50 in fees and costs. White was arrested June 6.

• Lashonda Williams, 35, 901 Speed St., pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Chaney to one year in the Mississippi Department of Corrections Intensive Supervision Program (house arrest) followed by five years of probation, plus restitution, fines and costs totaling $1,655.83. Williams was arrested Dec. 9, 2008.
