PORT GIBSON — Robert Sayles Jr. died Sunday, Feb. 28, 2010, at Patient’s Choice Hospital in Port Gibson. He was 74.

Mr. Sayles was preceded in death by his parents, Robert Sayles Sr. and Ada Allison-Sayles; two sisters, Hazel Walker and Laura Sayles; and a brother, George Sayles.

He is survived by two brothers, John Sayles of Pattison and Ecamond Truitt of Hermanville; one sister, Joan Hedrick of Quincy, Ill.; and nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Holly Grove M.B. Church in Hermanville with the Rev. Ernest Ford Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Friday at Thompson Funeral Home of Port Gibson and Saturday at the church from noon until the service.
