Dane Davenport has been found innocent of five of nine counts of child sexual abuse in a jury verdict announced around 7 p.m.

The jury was deadlocked on the remaining four courts, and presiding Circuit Judge Isadore Patrick ruled a mistrial on those.

Davenport’s acquittal was on four sexual battery charges that each carried a possible life sentence, and one count of fondling that carried up to 15 years in prison. It was unclear if the prosecution would pursue another trial on the remaining four counts.
