Services for Mary “Mae” Evans will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at Bright Morning Star M.B. Church with the Rev. Willie Jones officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1 until 7 p.m. Friday at Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home with family present from 6 until 7 and Saturday at the church from 11:30 a.m. until the service.

Ms. Evans died Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 72.

She attended Bowman High School. She was employed at The Valley department store for many years and was later employed at McRae’s department store. She was a member of Bright Morning Star M.B. Church, where she served as building fund secretary.
