Ellen L. Wilson Williams died Sunday, March 28, 2010, at her home in Springfield, Mass. She was 106.

A native and former resident of Vicksburg, Mrs. Williams had lived in Springfield for the past 11 years. She was a Jehovah’s Witness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Williams; six brothers, Isaiah Wilson, Ruben Wilson, Leon Wilson, Roosevelt Wilson, Jack Wilson and George Wilson; and five sisters, Lillie Mae Wilson Flowers, Ollie Mae Wilson, Annie Bell Wilson Claiborne, Bessie Wilson Bailey and Thelma Wilson Hart.

Survivors include four daughters, Mary F. Young of Peekskill, N.Y., Martha J. Holcomb of Los Angeles and Ruth Williams and Sarah L. Jones, both of Springfield; 12 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 16 great-great-grandchildren; and nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Cedar Hill Cemetery with Robert Nichols officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Dillon-Chisley Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10:30 until 1:30 Wednesday at the funeral home.
