ANGUILLA — Shellie Moore Jones died Tuesday, April 6, 2010, at Sharkey-Issaquena Community Hospital in Rolling Fork. She was 94.
Mrs. Jones was a native of Kemper County and had lived in Sharkey County for most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Anguilla.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Willard D. Jones Sr.; and her parents, I.C. and Myrtle Rea Moore.
Survivors include a son, Willard D. Jones Jr. and wife Barbara of Calera, Ala.; four daughters, Evelyn Tucker and husband Gilbert Sr. of Rolling Fork, Alice Allen of Anguilla, Mary Dean of Jackson and Ruby Langford and husband William C. of Stone Mountain, Ga.; three brothers, Ray Moore of Bowdon, Ga., James Moore of Moorhead, Miss., and Donald Moore of Birmingham, Ala.; four grandchildren, Luther G. “Buster” Tucker Jr., Bobby Tucker, Glen Tucker and Jimmy Dean; four great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Anguilla. Burial will follow at Golden Link Cemetery in Anguilla with Glenwood Funeral Home of Rolling Fork in charge of arrangements. Visitation will be tonight from 5:30 until 7 at the funeral home.
