WESSON  — Gary McCaa Russum Sr. died Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Silver Cross Nursing Home in Brookhaven.

Mr. Russum lived most of his life in Port Gibson and was a graduate of Port Gibson High School. He is a former member of First Presbyterian Church where he served as a deacon and was employed at Charles Donald Pulpwood Company for 50 years. He is a member of the Mississippi F&AM Lodge No. 3 in Port Gibson and was a member of Wesson Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his daughter, Renee Stevenson.

Survivors include his wife, Sybil Scott Russum of Wesson; a son, Gary McCaa Russum Jr. of Wesson; a brother, George Russum of Lorman; and two sisters, Kathleen “Katie” Donald of Port Gibson and Nell R. Gill of Raymond.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson with the Rev. Danny Forest, pastor of Wesson Baptist Church, officiating. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 7 at Glenwood Funeral Home in Port Gibson.
