JACKSON (AP) — A Utica man is dead and another charged with murder after a shooting outside a Terry lounge early Sunday morning.

Derrick Bland, 33, died of two gunshot wounds after a fight at Wilson’s Lounge on Mississippi 27 about 12:13 a.m.

Jessie Terrell, 28, was arrested and charged. He was at the Raymond Detention Center without bond pending an initial court appearance today.

Bland was pronounced dead at the scene, said the Hinds County Sheriff’s Department.
