The Vicksburg Missy Gators gained some momentum heading into the playoffs.

Vicksburg got its third win of the season and bounced back from a disappointing loss, scoring twice in the bottom of the fifth inning Friday to beat Riverside 3-2 at Bazinsky Park.

The Missy Gators (3-14) trailed 2-1 when Lea Davies ripped an RBI triple down the right field line to tie it. Faith Thomas followed with a grounder to first that was booted for an error, allowing Davies to score the go-ahead run.
