The Lady Bulldogs (17-3) took advantage of 10 St. Aloysius errors to cruise to a win, spoiling Senior Night for the Lady Flashes’ lone senior, K.K. DeRossette.
Franklin County, which won the Division 7-3A title, went up 8-1 in the fourth inning before St. Al (10-11) came back with two runs in the bottom of the fourth on RBI singles by DeRossette and Julie Mabry.
Desiree Buie staked Franklin County to a 3-0 lead in the first with a two-run single off St. Al starter Taylor Ann Hasty. Destiny Dedeaux added an RBI double in the second for a 4-0 lead.
St. Al got a run in the fourth when Mallory McGuffee singled and then came around to score on Sara Howington’s bunt.
Franklin County was led by KeKe Collins, who scored three runs, and also got two hits from Allison Hauer and K.C. Smith.
St. Al was limited to five hits. The Lady Flashes travel to Madison St. Joe today for a return “Pink Game” in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness.
