Four in city arrested for drugs

Four Vicksburg people were arrested Thursday on separate drug charges.
At 1 p.m., Jeromy Felts, 27, 4004 Halls Ferry Road, was picked up at his home by Vicksburg police and charged with possession of precursors to manufacturing crystal methamphetamine, Sgt. Sandra Williams said.
At 5:53 p.m., Gordon Joseph Stevens III, 25, 4405 Halls Ferry Road, was arrested at Battlefield Drugs, 3040 Indiana Ave., on two counts of prescription forgery, Williams said.
He is accused of trying to fill prescriptions for Xanax and Dilaudid, Williams said.
Lamonte Turner, 35, 104 Quinola St., was charged with sale of cocaine and possession of cocaine at 9:37 p.m. at Battlefield Campground, 4407 N. Frontage Road, Williams said.
A felonious amount of crack along with a misdemeanor amount of marijuana was found during a search of his home, she said.
Arrested with Turner was Tameka Denise Ross, 32, 2714 Oak St., who was charged with possession of cocaine.
Felts, Turner and Ross were being held at the Warren County Jail without bond pending an initial appearance in court. Stevens was released Thursday night on $10,000 bond.

Alabama man held for home state
A man was in the Warren County Jail today on an Alabama warrant for possession of controlled substances and receiving controlled substances, records showed.
Todd Cunningham, 44, 1305 Mayton Ave., Demopolis, Ala., was arrested by Warren County deputies on Cumberland Road around 2:30 p.m. Thursday.
Cunningham was being held without bond pending extradition to Alabama.
Electronics all the buzz in city burglaries
Electronics, weapons and drugs were hot items in five burglaries reported in Vicksburg, police Sgt. Sandra Williams said.
A Nokia cell phone valued at $125, a Samsung flip phone valued at $100, a PlayStation PSP valued at $150, an iPod valued at $300, a bottle of Trazodone, two bottles of MS Contin valued at about $82 together, a bottle of Zanaflex valued at $26, a Seiko watch valued at $325 and a Canon .35 millimeter camera valued at $245 were reported stolen from a home in the 1100 block of Warrenton Road at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday.
A Philips 19-inch, flat-screen TV valued at $200, a Remington rifle valued at $300, a .22-caliber rifle valued at $80, a .50-caliber muzzle-loader valued at $150, a .25-caliber handgun and a Marlin .17-caliber rifle valued at $400 were reported stolen from a home in the 100 block of Sims Lane at 12:28 Thursday afternoon.
An Emerson DVD player valued at $50 and a 32-inch, flat-screen TV valued at $750 were reported stolen from a home in the 500 block of North Poplar Street at 1:39 p.m. Thursday.
A CD player valued at $200 and 20 CDs valued at $40 were reported stolen from a 2001 Ford Taurus in the parking lot of River Region West on North Frontage Road at 2:17 p.m. Thursday.
A Compaq laptop computer valued at $600, 175 DVDs valued at $1,750 and a wireless broadband router valued at $60 were reported stolen from a home in the 4000 block of Halls Ferry Road at 6:17 p.m. Thursday.
