St. Al girls earn tie for second at 7-1A meet|Prep track

The St. Aloysius Lady Flashes track and field team finished in a tie for second place in the Division 7-1A team standings held Friday at Madison Central. The Lady Flashes totaled 54 points to tie Thomastown for second. McAdams won the division title with 63. The St. Al boys were third in their meet with 38 points.
Lady Flashes who finished in the top four in the divisionals and qualified for this week’s region meet were: Anna Haygood (1,600/3,200 meter runs), Alana Buckley (1,600), Madison Lumbley (100 meters, long jump), Marie Booth (100 meters), Mary Campbell (3,200 meters), Alexa Engle (400 meters, long jump), Cicily Chiarito (800 meters), all three relay teams, Lauren Rabalais (shot put), Tori Thomas (shot put), Katelyn Jones (discus), Maggie Waites (pole vault).
Waites won the pole vault while Rabalais was second in the shot.
Chiarito was second in the 800 run, Haygood was second in the 1600 meter run, and the 4 x 400 relay team was also second.
Matt Wooten won the discus and Josh Williams got second in the 800 and 3,200 meter runs.
