Old Court House Museum assistant director Jeff Coleman digs a hole Tuesday for an evergreen shrub in a memorial plot for Hobbs Freeman, an artist and longtime museum volunteer who died last summer. One of Freeman’s sculptures is the centerpiece of the memorial and will be accompanied by plants and rocks of all shapes and sizes. A dedication ceremony for the memorial is set for 4 p.m. May 9. Landscape architect Jeff Richardson designed the plot.
