A Vicksburg man who fled charges of armed robbery, kidnapping, rape and burglary two years ago was back in custody today, said Sheriff Martin Pace.

Korey O’Neal Sims, 28, 1704 Heather Drive, was arrested by deputies Saturday evening. Sims had been held at the Linn County Jail in Iowa on unrelated charges, Pace said, and was returned Saturday to Vicksburg.

In April 2008, a woman reported that a man had broken into her home, raped her and taken $40 from her purse while holding her at knife point, Pace said. Sims was indicted on the four charges in August 2009 by a Warren County grand jury. He was being held without bond pending an initial court appearance.
