Carolyn Janice Brooks died Wednesday, May 5, 2010, at her home. She was 63.

Mrs. Brooks was a native of New Orleans and had lived in Vicksburg most of her life. She was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Linda Miller, and her mother, Hazel Brower.

Survivors include her husband, Robert Gladwell of Vicksburg; a son, Charles Ray Brooks of Vicksburg; a daughter, Cindy Pugh of Denton, Texas; a stepson, Charles Coleman Brooks Jr. of Hattiesburg; six stepdaughters, Lisa Mohamed, April Wigley, Barbara Brooks and Darlene Moseley, all of Vicksburg, Teresa Rios of Eagle Lake and Debra Cade of Port Gibson; 14 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Glenwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Marvin Curtis officiating. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be tonight from 5 until 8 at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Michael Brooks, Chris Livingston, Brandon Wigley, Jimmy Thompson, Lindsey Wright, Tony Hart and Michael Milburn.
