10 sentences issued in Warren, Sharkey

In Warren County Circuit Court for the week ending Friday:

• David Matthew Cochran, 20, 20 Post Oak, pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Judge M. James Chaney to the Ninth Circuit Court Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years, plus $1,822.50 in fines and costs. Cochran was arrested Oct. 27.

• Eric Deion Ferguson, 21, 319 Belva Drive, was found guilty of violating probation and his suspended sentence was revoked by Judge Isadore Patrick, but re-sentencing was held in abeyance. Ferguson was arrested Sept. 13, 2006, for two counts of burglary of a dwelling.

• Donald Robert Gray, 45, 2 Briar Lane, was found guilty of violating probation and sentenced by Patrick to the MDOC Restitution Center at Hinds or Jackson County to pay $3,483.63 in restitution, fines and costs, followed by five years of probation. Gray was arrested May 29 for sale of cocaine.

• Angela Hasty High, 36, 11585 Mississippi 1, Rolling Fork, was found guilty of violating probation and was sentenced by Chaney to the Drug Court Program for a period not to exceed five years. High was arrested Jan. 17, 2006, for embezzlement.

• Jason Donnell Lane, 23, 1103 Jefferson St., No. 6, was found guilty of violating probation. Patrick held sentencing in abeyance. Lane was arrested Jan. 25, 2007, for shoplifting.

• Jeffrey T. Langston, 21, 800 Hickory St., was found guilty of violating probation and sentenced by Patrick to 270 days in jail followed by five years of probation, plus $3,322.50 in restitution, fines and costs. Langston was arrested Dec. 27, 2007, for burglary and malicious mischief.

• Hugh Myles III, 46, 104 South Drive, pleaded guilty to grand larceny and was sentenced by Patrick to Drug Court for a period not to exceed five years, plus $2,122.50 in restitution, fines and costs. Myles was arrested March 26, 2009, for grand larceny.

• Ingram Corvette Sparks, 24, 313 Cain Ridge Road, was found guilty of violating probation and sentenced by Patrick to the MDOC Restitution Center at Hinds or Jackson County to pay $4,722.50 in restitution, fines and costs, followed by probation for a period to complete four years total. Sparks was arrested Oct. 16, 2008, for driving under the influence, third offense.

• Michael Lawrence Turner, 41, 229 High Hill Drive, pleaded guilty to driving under the influence, third offense, and was sentenced by Chaney to Drug Court for a period not to exceed five years, plus $2,822.50 in fines and costs. Turner was arrested Sept. 22.

• Jessica Ellen White, 19, 1239 Boyscout Road, was found guilty of violating probation and sentenced by Patrick to complete the 13-month Teen Challenge Women’s Maternity Program in Milford, Ohio, followed by 2 years and 11 months of probation, plus $2,622.50 in fines and costs. White was arrested Sept. 15, 2008, for three counts of auto burglary.

In Sharkey County Circuit Court:

• Johnnie Jackson, 47, 4116 Cary Blanton Road, Rolling Fork, was found guilty of violating probation and sentenced by Chaney to three years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus $1,072.50 in fines and costs. Jackson was arrested June 10, 2008, for burglary of a dwelling.

• Drake Martin McKnight, 26, 34 Collette St., Rolling Fork, was found guilty of violating probation and sentenced by Chaney to three years in prison followed by five years of probation, plus $1,962.50 in fines and costs. McKnight was arrested Dec. 1, 2006, for sale of cocaine.
