The Vicksburg and Warren County Historical Society will dedicate a memorial to board member Hobbs Freeman on Sunday in one of the garden areas of the Old Court House Museum at 4 p.m.
The memorial, designed by landscape architect Jeff Richardson, will incorporate a sculpture by Freeman, who was an artist and also designed and helped maintain other garden areas on the museum grounds.
Freeman, a native of Jefferson County, died in June. He was 65.
George “Bubba” Bolm, director of the museum operated by the historical society, said the public is invited to the brief ceremony to be followed by refreshments.
Limited seating will be available and those attending might wish to take lawn chairs.
