3 auto burglaries reported in city, county

Electronics and a weapon were missing in three auto burglaries reported in the city and county.

At 6:16 this morning, a Jensen DVD/CD player valued at $400 and two 12-inch Punch speakers valued at $125 together were reported stolen from a 2000 Chevrolet Silverado in the 1200 block of Monroe Street, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Two auto burglaries reported Tuesday morning on Fisher Ferry Road were believed to be related, Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace said.

At about 6:40 a.m., a 1989 Chevrolet Suburban and a 2009 Ford Fusion were entered, but nothing was taken. Fifteen minutes later in the 8200 block, a .40-caliber semi-automatic Sig Sauer handgun valued at $700 and an Apple iPod valued at $75 were reported stolen from an unlocked Chevrolet pickup.
