Clell “Jim “ Allred Jr.

Clell “Jim” Allred Jr. died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. He was 80.

Mr. Allred was a native of Fulton. He was a retired pipefitter having been a member of Local Union 619 for 44 years. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clell Allred Sr. and Hester Allred; and two sisters, Jeanette Jerls and Doris Branning.

Survivors include his wife Sarah Allred of Vicksburg; a son, Clell M. Allred III and his wife, Kristen, of Vicksburg; a daughter, Elizabeth Taylor and her husband, Eric, of Atlanta; four grandchildren, Portia Taylor, Athena Piatkowski, Katie Taylor and Savannah Cupit; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Glenwood Chapel with the Rev. Brian Ivey officiating. Burial will follow at Green Acres Memorial Park. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 this evening at Glenwood Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Richard Galbreath, David Newell, Lee Williams, Tommy Clarkson, Eric Taylor and Chuck Rials.

Honorary pallbearers will be Frank Smith, Ronnie Terrell, Dr. Joseph Wilson and members of Plumbers & Pipefitters Local 619.
