UTICA — Earnest Davis Marbra died Thursday, May 13, 2010, at Covenant Health and Rehabilitation Center in Vicksburg. He was 90.

Mr. Marbra was a resident of Utica.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Julia Woods-Marbra; a daughter, Luella Windom; his parents, Gilbert and Lena Bland Marbra; three sisters, Martha B. Shelton, Mary Barnes and Sylena Davenport; two brothers, Amos Marbra and Jim Criss; and two grandchildren.

Survivors include five sons, Willie Marbra of Norfolk, Va., Earnest Marbra of Saginaw, Mich., Robert Marbra and Earl Marbra, both of Utica, and David E. Marbra of Leaksville; four daughters, Lena Sanders of Moss Point, Elizabeth Hicks of Colorado Springs, Colo., Daisy Burks and Julia Stimage, both of Utica; 34 grandchildren; 46 great-grandchildren; eight great-great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces, nephews and other relatives.
