Miss Arender to wed Mr. Halford on June 5

Alexis and Freda Arender of Yazoo City announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Alisha LeAnn, to Wesley Alan Halford. Mr. Halford is the son of Cloyd and Laura Halford of Mathiston.
Miss Arender is the granddaughter of David and Peggy Wigley of Vicksburg and June Munn and the late G.W. Arender of Yazoo City. She is the great-granddaughter of Mildred Winsted of Coxburg.
Mr. Halford is the grandson of Morris and Louise Ellington Jr. of San Antonio, Texas, and the late William and Ruby Halford of Mathiston.
The bride-elect is a 2004 graduate of Benton Academy.
She received an associate degree in business administration/accounting from Holmes Community College in 2006 and a Bachelor of Science degree in elementary education from Mississippi State University in 2008. She was a member of Delta Alpha Pi and Future Educators of America.
Miss Arender is a teacher/math interventionist at J.J. McClain High School in Lexington.
The prospective groom graduated from Ackerman High School in 2000 and attended East Mississippi Community College.
He is a 2001 graduate of the Mississippi Fire Academy in Pearl.
Mr. Halford is a sergeant with the Grenada Fire Department.
The wedding will be at 1 p.m. June 5, 2010, at Scotland Baptist Church in Bentonia. The Rev. Glenn Allen, pastor, will officiate.
A reception will follow in the fellowship hall of the church. All friends and relatives are invited to attend.
