The Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary is bringing the tropics to Vicksburg for a third year with the group’s annual luau fundraiser, set for Tuesday.

Hawaiian chicken or Kalua pork with sides of macaroni salad, green beans, fresh mixed fruit and rolls — plus iced tea or water — will be served from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Riverfront Park. A dessert table will also be available.

“This is our third one, and it just gets better and better,” said auxiliary president Trudy James. “The hearts of the people are so generous.”
