The state director of the Public Relations Association of Mississippi will speak during a meeting of Vicksburg chapter members Tuesday.

Caron Blanton, a Tupelo native, is the Bureau Manager for Legislative Services for the Mississippi Department of Education. She has worked with the Mississippi Press Association and at Holmes Community College. A member of the National School Public Relations Association, Blanton has a bachelor’s degree from Randolph-Macon Woman’s College in Lynchburg, Va., and a master’s from the University of Mississippi.
