Fannie Lois Rachal died Friday, May 21, 2010, at Vicksburg Promise Hospital. She was 85.

Born in Vicksburg, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Leist Bliss and Rosa Lee Standard Bliss. Mrs. Rachal was a member of the First Christian Church and the Christian Women’s Fellowship of the church.

She is survived by her husband, Paul E. Rachal of Vicksburg; one daughter, Rosa Anna Girard and her husband, George, of Vicksburg; one son, Paul D. Rachal and his wife, Pam, of Vicksburg; six grandchildren, Carol Ann Spence, David Girard, Susan Michele Cupit, Anne Marie Dennis, Amanda Smith and Troy McDaniel; nine great-grandchildren, Ryan Cupit, Lauren Cupit, Anna Spence, Elizabeth Klemme, Jayden Dennis, Timothy Smith, Robbie Culbertson, Millianna Culbertson and Haliegh Wilson.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a daughter, Linda Klemme; grandson, Donald Klemme II; three sisters and five brothers.

Services will be 11:30 a.m. Monday at First Christian Church with Dr. David Felty, pastor, officiating. Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery under the direction of Riles Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 2 until 4 p.m. today at Riles Funeral Home and at the church from 10:30 a.m. Monday until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Kennon Cupit, Danny Spence, David Bliss, David Wood, Sam Grogan and Gerald Arnold.

Honorary pallbearers will be Troy McDaniel, George Girard Jr. and the elders and deacons of First Christian Church.
