Johnann M. Tidwell

Johnann M. Tidwell died Friday, May 21, 2010, at River Region Medical Center. She was 71.

Born in Lexington, she had been a resident of Vicksburg since 1957. Mrs. Tidwell was a loving and devoted daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was a member of the Open Door Bible Church.

She was predeceased by her husband, J. M. Tidwell, and her father, Clarence Minyard.

She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Middleton and her husband, John, and Suzanne Allen and her husband Mike, all of Vicksburg; her son, Jay Tidwell and his wife, Lee, of Vicksburg; her mother, Susie Byrd Minyard, of Lexington; her sister, Clara Sue Pierce, of Lexington; seven grandchildren, Landon Middleton, Hannah Middleton, Bridgett Hunt, Holly Allen, John Michael Allen, Blake Tidwell and Morgan Tidwell; three great-grandchildren, Richard William Hunt III, Laney Mercer Hunt and Hayden Bryant Allen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday at Riles Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Messer and Dr. George Hammett officiating. Burial will be at Green Acres Cemetery. Visitation will be from noon Monday until the hour of the service.

Pallbearers will be Clarence Pierce, Mike Pierce, Trey Pierce, Mark Dement, Billy Stribling, Bubba Bowen, John W. Bowen Jr. and Edward McKnight.
