Services for James White “Ba Ba” Jenkins Sr. will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Williams Funeral Service with the Rev. Loranzo Magee Sr., officiating. Visitation will be from 1 until 6 p.m. Thursday with the family being present at 5 at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Mr. Jenkins was preceded in death by his wife, Ella Mae Jenkins; parents, Jim and Bellulah Jenkins and Laura B. and Thomas Carter Sr.; a son, Michael Williams; and three brothers, James Carter, Samuel Carter and Thomas Carter Jr.

Survivors include five sons, James Jenkins Jr., Chester Jenkins, Issac Williams, Johnny Williams and Aaron Williams, all of Vicksburg; seven daughters, Geraldine Jenkins Lewis of Saginaw, Mich., Velma Jenkins Mosley of Flint, Mich., Cozetta Jenkins Smith, Gloria Jenkins Mazey, Bernice Williams, Stephanie Williams and Shannon Williams, all of Vicksburg; two brothers, Robert Carter and William Carter, both of Pontiac, Mich.; three sisters, Inez Williams of Pontiac, Alfreda Moore of Troy, Mich., and Ella Marie Baldwin of Vicksburg; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Mr. Jenkins died Saturday, May 22, 2010, at Mississippi Baptist Medical Center in Jackson. He was 80.
