Rosa Mary Gross McKnight died Tuesday, June 1, 2010, at Heritage House Retirement Center. She was 84.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom McKnight; her parents, Harrison Gross Sr. and Bertha Cadney; a sister, Johnnie Williams; six brothers, Charlie Gross, James Gross, George Gross, Harrison Allen Gross, Harrison Ray Gross and Eddie Gross Sr.; and a grandmother, Rosie Cadney.

She is survived by three daughters, Yvonne Tribble of Biloxi, Terrie Moore of Vicksburg and Louise Jones of Columbia, S.C.; four sons, Fred Carter and Bobby Carter, both of Vicksburg, Tony Carter of Minnesota and Sherman Carter of Georgia; one sister, Charlie Ruth Gross of Hammond, La.; and grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives, including Nathan Jones of Port Gibson.

Williams Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
