City man held for 4th domestic violence

A Vicksburg man was at police headquarters this morning charged with fourth offense domestic violence.

At 1:30 a.m., the victim told police Joseph Parson, 32, assaulted her at her 1950 Hope St. apartment and left before authorities arrived, Vicksburg police Lt. Bobby Stewart said.

Parson, also a resident of the apartment complex, was charged additionally with resisting during his arrest at 2:58 in the 1900 block of Hope Street, Stewart said.

He was being held without bond due to his having been out on a $10,000 bond for third offense domestic violence, Stewart said.

The victim was not injured during the fight, Stewart said.
