Vicksburg man pleads guilty to federal child-porn charges

A Vicksburg man has pleaded guilty in federal court to charges of child pornography, a spokesman with the U.S. Department of Justice said today.

Bryan Blake Neihaus, 21, 452 Tilton Ranch Road, faces a maximum of 140 years in prison from his guilty pleas to four counts of production and two counts of possession of child pornography.

Neihaus was arrested by FBI agents in January after images were found on his computer.

He was also indicted in May by the Warren County Grand Jury on 10 counts of child sexual assault, molestation and pornography.

District Attorney Ricky Smith said local charges will still be pursued in court regardless of federal sentencing. A Warren County trial date has been set for Nov. 15.
