Mable Hamilton Biedenharn Johnson

CLINTON — Mrs. Mable Hamilton Biedenharn Johnson went home to be with her heavenly father on Friday, June 11, 2010, surrounded by her loving family. Visitation will be from 5 until 7 p.m., Monday, June 14, 2010, at Lakewood Funeral Home in Jackson. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 15, 2010, in the Chapel at Lakewood Funeral Home.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Gay Biedenharn. They had three daughters, Jimmie Faye Neblett, Carolyn Boyd and Mary Majors. Each is married to men of whom Mother said, “No woman could have ever asked for three more wonderful sons-in law,” Bob Neblett, Lonnie Boyd and Penn Majors III. Later, she married Lamar Johnson, who brought to her two wonderful sons, Richard and Don Johnson. Her life was complete now with sons and daughters. Lamar passed away in 1991. Richard is married to Jena, and they have two sons, Spencer and Alexander. Don married Kathy, and had two beautiful grandchildren, Jessica and Daniel. Mrs. Mable was a longtime member of First United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Leta Mae Hamilton; her father, William Hamilton; her brother, Matthew Paul; two sisters, Alma Whitley and Jean Hoosier. Her surviving siblings are Bill Hamilton, Mildred Lewis and Sarah Knight.

She is loved by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
