The search for a missing Warren County man took to the air this morning.

Deputies began patrolling via helicopter at 7 in search for Jason Allen Ashley, 31, said Warren County Sheriff Martin Pace. Ashley was reported missing by his family on May 27, and the sheriff’s department and the Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks found his 2000 Jeep abandoned Friday in a remote area off Floweree Road near the Issaquena County Line, three miles from his home.

Throughout the weekend, officials searched the area near the vehicle by foot, the sheriff said.
