Sandy “Beany” Carter III died Saturday, June 12, 2010, at his home. He was 47.

Mr. Carter was born and reared in Vicksburg. He was employed with Cooper Lighting for 22 years.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Sandy Carter Sr. and Agnes Brown Carter, Willie James Washington, Georgia Lee and Early Simpson Sr.; and a uncle, Arthur “Pee Wee” Carter.

Survivors include his parents, Sandy Carter Jr. and Eva Grace Carter, both of Vicksburg; one brother, Michael Durman of Dallas; five sisters, Pamela A. Brown of Dallas, Barbara Carter, Cathy Demby, Mary Carter and Diane Renee Carter, all of Vicksburg; and Jacqueline Harris of Vicksburg, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and other relatives and friends including the Carter, Brown, Banks, Neal, Prentiss, Harris, Durman, Tate, Erwin and Johnson families.

Lakeview Memorial Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
