A Vicksburg man surrendered to Warren County deputies Thursday morning on a noncompliant sex offender charge.

At 8:30 a.m., Richard Roberts, 43, 123 Lovers Lane, turned himself in after Warren County Detective Stacy Rollison, contacted him in Ringgold, La., about not telling authorities he had moved, Rollison said.

“He had left the state for two weeks without notification,” said Rollison.

Deputies discovered Roberts was not at the local address during a routine registry check, she said.

“We ask to see the area of the sex offender,” said Rollison, adding the residents could not provide proof he lived at the address.

Roberts was being held at the Warren County Jail on a $5,000 bond.
