PORT GIBSON — Mary Kathleen “Katie” Donald died Friday, June 18, 2010, at the River Region Medical Center in Vicksburg. She was 79.

Mrs. Donald was a native of Russum, Miss., and lived most of her life in Port Gibson. Katie loved her church, her family and the Mississippi State Bulldogs. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Donald Sr.; and brothers, Billy Russum and Gary Russum.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathleen Pugh and husband Robert of Tuscaloosa, Ala.; sons, Charles Donald Jr. and wife Shelby of Port Gibson, George Donald and wife Kaye of Jackson and David Donald and wife Dana of Clinton; stepson, Jeff Donald of Starkville; stepdaughter, Patricia Donald of Brookhaven; brother, George Russum of Russum; sister, Nell Gill of Edwards; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, June 21, 2010, at the First Presbyterian Church of Port Gibson with the Rev. Michael Herrin, pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the Wintergreen Cemetery in Port Gibson.

Visitation will be 5-7 p.m. Sunday and 9-10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be her grandchildren Chip Donald, Travis Donald, Taylor Donald, McCaa Donald, Patrick Donald and David Killingsworth.

Honorary pallbearers will be Denise Donald, Catherine Donald and Mallie Donald.
