Dr. and Mrs. Bland P. Walker of Hernando announce the engagement of their daughter, Rebekah Lauren, to Jonathan William Wiley Olsen. Mr. Olsen is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Richard S. Olsen of Vicksburg.

Miss Walker is the granddaughter of the late Dr. and Mrs. Lee H. Walker of Utica and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl W. Stafford of Hattiesburg.

Mr. Olsen is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Irving E. Olsen of Lake Oswego, Ore., and Mary F. Bondon and the late Lewis A. Bondon of Montclair, N.J.

The bride-elect is a 2006 graduate of Warren Central High School. She graduated magna cum laude from Mississippi State University, where she received a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in marketing in May.

She was a member of Campus Activities Board and American Marketing Association.

Miss Walker will pursue a Master of Business Administration degree in marketing from MSU in the fall.

The prospective groom is a 2005 graduate of Warren Central High School. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in biological engineering from Mississippi State University in May.

He was a member of the Institute of Biological Engineering and Auburn University Formula SAE Racing.

Mr. Olsen will pursue a Master of Science degree in biological engineering from MSU in the fall.

The wedding will be July 24, 2010, at Bryn Rose Inn.
