BATON ROUGE — LaQuittia Day Mims died Sunday, June 20, 2010. She was 32.
Ms. Mims was born in Vicksburg. She was a 1996 graduate of Redemptorist High School, Louisiana Technical College in early childhood education and Southern University. She was an employee with the West Baton Rouge School System.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Rufus and Lenora Mims.
Survivors include her parents, Rufus and Jacqueline Mims; three brothers, Bertram Wynn, Marvin Mims and Darren Mims; two sisters, Tiffany Mims and Anissia Mims-Green; her maternal grandmother, Claretha McKay; her great-grandmother, Birdie Spencer; her great-grandfather, Louis Spencer Jr.; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives friends.
Services will be at noon Saturday at Bethany World Prayer Center in Baker, La., with Hall-Davis & Sons Funeral Services in charge. Burial will follow at the church cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 10 a.m. until the service.
